My botanical fantasies are hypercollages, they are composed of 60 – 80 or more individual layers. I begin by extracting an element from one of my original photographs (flower, bubble, waterfall) and through the magic of photoshop weave the different elements together often changing the shape, color or intensity of the original element. It takes me two weeks to over a month to complete a single hypercollage.
Featured here is “Bevy of Blossoms” which began as a photograph of a waterfall, still visible in the background, and evolved into a celebration of colorful blossoms.
